CTRL + SHIFT + P et taper : Snippets, vous devriez voir Snippets: Configure Snippets.
On vous demande ensuite quel fichier de langage vous désirez, ici moi ça sera pour Javascript, choisissez celui que vous voulez. Dans ce fichier il y a en commentaire un exemple qui explique comment ajouter un snippet.

Ici je vais ajouter un snippet clg, comme ça il me proposera d'insérer automatiquement console.log();, donc je vais ajouter :

$1 correspond au curseur.
